Say goodbye to dermatitis with these 5 tips

Red, swollen, itchy skin. That’s right, we´re talking about dermatitis  and if you suffer from it or know someone that does, then this article is for you.
We have 5 tips for dealing with dermatitis and other skin allergies. Incorporate them into your daily routine and you will have clean and beautiful skin in no time .

Short showers

Yes, you should keep your skin clean, but over cleaning your skin can also be damaging and cause allergic reactions. By taking short showers, not only do you save water and do your bit to save the planet, but you also prevent your skin from being exposed for the water for too long and becoming irritated.
Very important: only use warm water. Hot water makes your skin rough and dry and may trigger other ailments, such as hair loss and slow digestion.

Gentle soap

Use a gentle soap or one that is pH neutral for your skin: choose very gentle and preferably, fragrance free soaps. Some soaps can dry out your skin, triggering outbreaks or allergic reactions.
Consult a dermatologist to find out what the right soap is for you, everyone’s skin is different and requires special care.

Comfortable clothing

Wear comfortable clothes: avoid itchy materials that can cause skin irritation. Remember to wash all new clothes before wearing them.
Very important: use a gentle detergent to wash your clothes.

Regular hydration

Other tips:

Take baths and use face masks with oats: oats have anti inflammatory properties that soothe itching and rashes.

Establish a skincare routine.
Maintain a balanced diet.

If you have a rash that is recurrent or very difficult to cure, you should see a doctor to receive a diagnosis and suitable treatment.
